 Role Description

 

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cambridge, ON, for a Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator. In this role, you will support project execution by preparing detailed estimates and coordinating resources for fabrication projects. The key responsibilities of the position include reviewing project specifications, liaising with clients and suppliers, generating cost estimates, creating timelines, and assisting in the management of project deliverables. You will also ensure projects are executed on time and within budget while maintaining open communication with stakeholders. Collaboration with other departments and maintaining accurate project documentation will be integral to your role.

 

 Qualifications

 

Proficiency with estimating and project coordination tools, and familiarity with CAD software

Strong organizational and multitasking skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines

Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in custom fabricating

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and suppliers

Problem-solving skills with an ability to think critically and address project challenges

Experience in metal fabrication or construction project management is an asset

A diploma or degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is desirable

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word

FITTER-WELDER - Permanent position

Description

Ability to work in a safe & production manner

Read and interpret engineered drawings

Knowledge of welding principles and methods

All skills in the job require knowledge & skills in welding methods: SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.

Ability to follow written and oral directions

Layout and fit materials according to specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met

Experience with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and forklifts, cranes, hoists, shears, saws, ironworkers & brake press.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

Layout and fitting as directed by drawing

Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction document

Understanding of tolerances and the importance of maintaining them

Setup and adjustment of welding machines and plasma torches

Practice good housekeeping methods by keeping work area clean and clear of obstructions

 

Regular Hours - 44 hours per week with possible overtime

Monday -Thursday - 7:00am-4:30pm

Friday- 7:00am - 3:30pm
